Russian Electric Motorcycle "Arktur" Presented

Almost everything is made in Russia

At the "Moto Winter 2025" exhibition in Moscow, the "Rus" motorcycle factory presented the fully electric motorcycle "Arktur" — a project that the company calls its own development in terms of electronics and control architecture. External components, including the power plant and battery, are supplied from China, but the operating logic, controllers, software and key controls are created in Russia. The manufacturer emphasizes that this is the first step towards the formation of a domestic school of high-power electric bikes.

The "Arktur" is equipped with a liquid-cooled brushless DC electric motor. Depending on the version, the power is 15, 20 or 30 kW, and the peak reaches 40 hp. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes about 8 seconds, the maximum speed is declared at 140 km/h. The torque is an impressive 617 Nm, transmitted through a belt drive. The model is designed for dynamic driving and active acceleration, which the manufacturer demonstrated directly at the stand.

The dimensions are 2045×670×1080 mm, the base is 1430 mm, the seat height is 800 mm. Dry weight — 220 kg, and the maximum permissible load — 368 kg. Ground clearance — 130 mm. Suspension — telescopic fork at the front and a pendulum system with a rear shock absorber, brakes — disc with ABS. The bike is equipped with R17 tires: 120/70 at the front, 150/60 at the rear.

Battery — lithium iron phosphate (LiFePo4) with a capacity of 4.5 kWh. The range reaches 150 km in urban mode and up to 220 km with minimal loads. The passport battery cycle is from 2000 to 3000 charges. Energy recovery time — 2 hours. The model offers an extended package: heated handles, steering damper, fairing, wind visor and LED optics. The warranty period is two years.

According to the developers' idea, "Arktur" should become a platform for further domestic projects in the electric motorcycle industry.
