The UAZ "Patriot" with a modernized ZMZ Pro-T turbo engine producing 210 hp, developed by "Kuzovnaya Studiya 31," was presented at the "Moscow Auto Show." The new version is the most powerful "Patriot" available on the market.
Specialists from "Kuzovnaya Studiya 31" have strengthened the design of the unit and added turbocharging. As a result, the engine produces 210 hp and 350 Nm, making the SUV noticeably more dynamic.
The developers note that the power of the ZMZ Pro-T can be adjusted to specific tasks — from 170 to 260 hp. Due to the fact that the block is designed for increased loads, the unit is suitable not only for UAZs, but also for GAZelles, light commercial vehicles, and even boats.
Engineers compare the new engine with the rare turbocharged ZMZ-406, which was planned for the "last Volga" (GAZ-3103/3104). In terms of characteristics, it is indeed close to those experimental versions.
The SUV has become more responsive in acceleration, pulls more confidently at low speeds, and feels better on the highway with a full load. It is noted that the tuning does not require serious intervention in the basic design of the car.
