A "Moskvich 8", which is not yet available for purchase in Russia, was spotted in Vyborg. Journalists were lucky enough to accidentally capture the newest Russian car on one of the city's streets.
The seven-seater crossover "Moskvich 8" had license plates indicating the Moscow region.
The car's debut took place in April 2024. Representatives of the Moscow plant announced plans to start mass production before the end of the same year, but the start of sales was repeatedly postponed.
In April of this year, information appeared that the production of the flagship model "Moskvich" would start in the coming months, although specific dates were not named.
"Moskvich-8" will receive a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 174 hp, as well as a seven-speed robotic gearbox.
Earlier motoram.ru reported that AvtoVAZ revealed the secret of the origin of the name Lada Azimut.
