Armored "Legionnaire" Pickup Truck Unveiled

The car's exterior echoes the Hummer

The fresh armored "Legionnaire" pickup truck, developed by RBM ("Russian Combat Vehicles"), has been showcased in Russia. Photos and videos of the vehicle were posted on their Telegram channel. This is a 4×4 all-wheel-drive SUV with an armored cabin and an open body – ideal for transporting goods, weapons, or people in difficult conditions. Its exterior echoes the Hummer: an angular silhouette, a powerful look, but adapted to our realities. The vehicle weighs 6.5 tons and can carry up to 2.5 tons – from ammunition to personnel.

Under the hood is a YaMZ-534 diesel engine with 200 hp. The pickup accelerates to 100 km/h and has a range of 750 kilometers on a single tank. The BR5 class armor protects against bullets and fragments. The body is versatile: it can accommodate a machine gun like the 7.62-mm PKP "Pecheneg" for fire support or stretchers for two wounded – the folding side simplifies access. This flexibility makes the "Legionnaire" useful in logistics on the front lines or in special operations.

Earlier, "Remdiesel", which produces armored vehicles of the "Typhoon" and "Akhmat" families, announced a light version for foreign customers. And recently, they completed the full import substitution of the "Typhoon-K53949" model, renaming it "Phoenix". This armored vehicle for 10 people, including the crew, weighs about 14 tons. All-wheel drive, speed up to 100 km/h, range of 800–850 km. The body can withstand armor-piercing bullets and artillery fragments. "Phoenix" has already passed state tests and is ready for delivery – negotiations with clients are in full swing.
