KamAZ Abandons Introduction of Three-Day Work Week

Revision of work schedule is due to increased market share and additional orders

Russian truck manufacturer KamAZ has abandoned the previously considered introduction of a three-day work week, the company's press service reported.

The financial committee decided to cancel the order for a three-day work week, the introduction of which had been considered since September.

Among the reasons for revising the work schedule, the company highlighted confidence among other market players, attracting additional orders, and increasing market share. The company's main divisions will continue to operate on a four-day schedule.

On August 1, KamAZ switched to the current schedule due to the crisis in the truck market in Russia, which decreased by almost 60% in the first half of 2025. The company explained this by the tight monetary policy of the Central Bank and the influence of importers' policies.
