AvtoVAZ, together with "Avtozavod St. Petersburg," has begun the final stage of preparations for the production of the new Lada Iskra family of cars. The first assembly kits will be delivered to the plant in September.
By the end of the year, about four thousand Lada Iskra cars will roll off the assembly line. Specialists from both companies have carried out a series of works in St. Petersburg to reconfigure existing equipment and install new equipment.
The plant's personnel have undergone the necessary training, and the necessary logistics chains have already been established. The Avtozavod in St. Petersburg previously belonged to Nissan.
After the Japanese company left Russia, the plant began producing Xcite crossovers, which are sold through the Lada dealer network.
