AvtoVAZ has announced the launch of a program to retrofit Lada Vesta cars with the Era-GLONASS emergency response system. This was reported in the company's press service.
The program involves 22,000 cars manufactured from October 2021 to April 2022.
All cars will be equipped with a control unit for the emergency response system. The work will be free for car owners.
The temporary production of cars without the Era-GLONASS system in Russia was allowed due to difficulties in the supply of components that arose in 2021.
Earlier, AvtoVAZ called fake rumors about an alleged twofold reduction in the production plan at the Izhevsk plant, where Lada Largus is produced.
